One in three people suffer from allergies in the UK. Most reactions are triggered
by dust mites and their faeces, pollen, fungus, fibres, food particles, even insecticides
– all ingredients that make up household dust. Many vacuum cleaners claim to be
allergy-friendly, with features such as HEPA filters, antibacterial coatings, or
dust sensors. These features on their own are not enough, however, but Dyson vacuum
cleaners provide everything you need; constant powerful suction, a HEPA filter,
high dust removal, the ability to capture particles down to 0.5 microns and no bags
to replace. Dyson are the only vacuum cleaners approved by both the British Allergy
Foundation and Service Allergie Suisse.
Service Allergie Suisse has developed stringent criteria, detailing how allergy
vacuums should really work. To gain approval, vacuums must provide constant suction
and separation performance to ensure no loss of effectiveness.
Dyson upright and cylinder vacuums are also approved by the National Asthma Council
of Australia's Sensitive Choice program, which enables asthma and allergy sufferers
to make better lifestyle choices than let them better manage their symptoms.
Dyson upright and cylinder vacuums are approved by the British Allergy Foundation
(BAF). The BAF Seal of Approval is only awarded to products that specifically restrict
reduce or remove allergens from the environment of allergy sufferers. The BAF have
also validated Dyson’s asthma and allergy research, which helps develop even better
technology for removing household allergens. Dyson research takes place at the Dyson
microbiology lab, where microbiologists cultivate and study household allergens.
Dyson is thought to be the only appliance manufacturer in Europe (possibly the world)
to have its own in-house microbiology lab.
